Vital Records (Birth/Death/Marriage) Birth Certificates All birth records for anyone born in the Commonwealth of Virginia are issued from the Division of Vital Records in Richmond, Virginia. The charge for each certificate is $12. There are three ways to obtain a birth record from Richmond.

A couple may go to any circuit court in Virginia to obtain a marriage license. There are no residence requirements to obtain a marriage license in Virginia; however, the marriage must take place in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Transcripts and Records Information - Arlington Public Schools
Student records are maintained in the local schools for 5 years after a student graduates or leaves the school division. After this they are sent to the Office of Student Services for permanent storage. A signed consent from a parent or legal guardian is needed, if the student is under 18 years of age.
